About Us
About this project
‘Let’s Talk Prosperity’ led by the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity aims to create a platform where people, organisations, and communities can come together to explore what prosperity means and how it can be achieved in ways that are inclusive, sustainable, and meaningful.
Our project seeks to:
Encourage Open Dialogue
Create opportunities for honest conversations about the opportunities and challenges affecting prosperity in our communities, workplaces, and everyday lives.
Amplify Diverse Voices
Ensure that people from all backgrounds have the opportunity to share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas, helping to shape a broader understanding of prosperity.
Build Knowledge and Understanding
Promote learning, research, and the sharing of evidence-based insights to help individuals and organisations make informed decisions.
Foster Collaboration
Bring together community groups, businesses, public sector organisations, and individuals to identify common goals and develop practical solutions.
Support Positive Change
Inspire action by highlighting successful initiatives, sharing best practices, and encouraging innovative approaches that improve economic, social, and environmental wellbeing.
Promote Inclusive Prosperity
Advocate for a future where prosperity is accessible to everyone, ensuring that growth, opportunity, and wellbeing are shared across communities.
Through conversation, collaboration, and collective action, Let's Talk Prosperity aims to help build stronger, more resilient, and more prosperous communities for current and future generations.
Who We are
The Institute for Global Prosperity at UCL (IGP) works closely with businesses, civil society, entrepreneurs, students, policymakers at national and local levels, academics, public bodies and communities to co-create dynamic sustainable pathways to quality of life, secure livelihoods, and social and economic wellbeing for people and the planet.
Over the next decade, a key priority is to redesign global conversations on prosperity in ways that are collaborative, coherent, accessible, and impactful. We will build on existing cross-sector relationships and forge new forms of collaborations to translate our research themes into high-level policy impact.
